SportsBusiness Journal recently reported that the Atlanta Hawks have increased their premium seat revenue by a whopping 20% since adopting EchoSign for signing and filing contracts with customers. Before, the sales team was handling contracts the old, clunky way, by faxing them back and forth to get ink signatures. That meant some customers would take a long time to sign or just decide to move on instead of dealing with a cumbersome process. Now the Hawks sales reps just email contracts to prospects while they're on the phone, and fans can sign in a minute, before they even hang up. The contract is automatically filed, and the deal is done.
“We like to do business face to face, but a good number of our business is done over the phone and we found that we were having trouble getting contracts sent back to us,” Shawn Doss, director of suite sales and service for the Hawks, told SportsBusiness Journal. “Now we are able to upload our contracts, see when they have been opened, and track all the data. It has easily led to about a 20 percent increase in premium-seating revenues, including suites, and season-ticket business.”
