Getting a contract signed is often the most painful part of a business process, and almost always the least automated piece. But it's rarely the final step.
Why not take advantage of the fact that EchoSign automates this previously analog process, and create automated workflows once the deal is signed?
In EchoSign for Salesforce, it's extremely easy -- Salesforce is designed to make it very easy to set up rules upon an event.
But how to do this in the standalone version of EchoSign ... Outlook is one good tool that actually can create nice mini- workflows.
For example, Design for Users here set up a neat workflow whereby once an NDA is signed on EchoSign, a link to a confidential portfolio is automatically sent by email. Outlook can do this because, unlike an electronic fax, EchoSign intelligently titles and labels each signed agreement, e.g. "The NDA with Party A is Signed and Filed."
Outlook in just a couple of clicks can be configured to take a multitude of actions upon receiving an email with "The NDA with ... Sign and Filed" in the title ... including sending back an automated email with a link to another application, such as a VisualCV here.
