The Benefits of Deep Integrations: New Functionality (or, 1+1 = 3)
One of EchoSign's missions in 2008 is to become ubiquitous -- and to do that, a key plank of our strategy is to integrate with key market leaders that create or store documents (in particular, contracts) that need to be signed, tracked and filed.
What we're especially pleased with is that most of our integrations have been "deep" integrations that unlock new power and functionality by combining with our partner's technology. For example, our integration with Zoho Writer enables parties to very easily collaborate on documents in Zoho Writer before sending them out for signature. Collaboration: check, added to EchoSign via Zoho integration.
Inside of Salesforce.com, many of our larger customers have more complex needs for contracting, be it a multi-step drafting and sign-off process, or complex creation of mail-merged contracts that pull data from various sources in Salesforce to create contracts. Approvals, redlines, pre-signing workflows: check, added to EchoSign via SpringCM (see image above). Complex automated contract creation? Drawloop's LoopPlus enables you to create an instant automated 'document package' from Salesforce data and other files, and send them right through EchoSign, in one click. Very slick!
There's a second class of partners where we serve as the signature service for their product. HR Block's Rocketlawyer enables you to create hundreds of 50-state attorney reviewed legal forms via web-based wizards -- and then send them out for signature from EchoSign. Or use Box.net, the web's leading online file storage system, to store your entire C: drive. Once they are in the cloud, how do you send them out for signature? Through Box.net's EchoSign integration.
We've also integrated several applications ourselves into EchoSign. E-signatures are great, but what about all the contracts and documents faxed back to you? How do you track and manage them as easily as the contracts you sign on EchoSign? No problem - use our eFax integration, included with every paid account. All your eFaxes will them automatically flow and be stored (and searchable) in your EchoSign account.
