Salesforce: "EchoSign is the Killer App for Contract Management"

Salesforce.com's annual usual conference, Dreamforce, was held this week at Moscone Center in San Francisco.  It was terrific in particular to get to meet so many of our customers in person. 

We were featured twice:  First, Salesforce led a session on "How to Leverage the AppExchange" and named the top apps on AppExchange.  EchoSign was named "The Killer App for Contract Management".

Our customer Rob Lamb of Clickability led a deep discussion of EchoSign as the only app used by his entire sales team, and how he started using EchoSign not only to automate his contracting needs today -- but to ensure he had a scaleable process to automate their business as it continues to grow.

Next, Salesforce led a discussion on "Enhanced Selling with AppExchange", i.e. the best apps to help you sell more.  Our customer Jerry Clarno of Successfactors got up and told a wonderful story, of how he found EchoSign because he needed a way to close customers faster -- and then knocked it out of the park.  On the very last day of the quarter, he closed "two big deals" after hours using EchoSign that let him to go from making his base goal to making his stretch goal.  "EchoSign made me a hero to my CEO," he said.

DrawLoop Integrates EchoSign

Drawloop's LOOPlus service is a powerful tool for creating sophisticated PDF proposals outside and inside Salesforce.com.  They have recently integrated EchoSign into their service -- take a look at the demo, and how they expand EchoSign's value proposition 'earlier' into the content creation chain.  It's very slick:

CNet/Webware did a nice piece on EchoSign after Office 2.0 (another post on that subsequent), picking up on the key to EchoSign being its unique ease of use, as well as its ability to just plain get it signed - by e-signature or by fax:

"The Office 2.0 conference was set up almost entirely without paper (except for some checks that paid for sponsorships). Even the contracts necessary to set up the show were signed electronically, using EchoSign. There are other companies that provide services to create legally binding signatures ... but EchoSign has simplicity going for it.

If you want to have a document "signed" electronically, EchoSign will convert it to a PDF, send it to your designated recipient, and give you the option to have it signed via a Web form, or with a pen, via fax. For e-signatures, the service confirms when the recipient opened the document and when they "signed" it with keystrokes on their computer; this transaction is actually a legally valid signature. Still, traditionalists might want to use the fax option, in which case EchoSign sends your recipient a PDF of your file, which they then print, sign, and fax to the number printed on a special cover sheet. This fax is then routed to your EchoSign account automatically. Whichever method you use, EchoSign keeps track of all your contracts and can remind you of which ones are pending signature.

There's even a version that integrates with Salesforce.com, which is great for salespeople."
